Janissary music was the inspiration to Mozart making turkish style. It's especially when oriental flavor did being popular in 18th-century European society. Ottoman military bands are thought to be the oldest kind of military marching band. The music was for military on wars, special days and the presence of khans (supreme rulers of turkish tribes; “Tuğ” Türk XI. century). In Ottoman, the band was generally known as mehterân (مهتران), though those bands used in the retinue of a vizier or prince were generally known as mehterhane (مهترخانه, meaning roughly, "a gathering of mehters"). In modern Turkish, the band is often termed mehter takımı "mehter team". In the West, the band's music is also often called Janissary music because the janissaries formed the core of the bands.

If Only It Were True

I'm giving my sincere appreciation to Weegee, If Only It Were True.看完電影 The Public Eye (1992) 致上真心的崇敬給記實攝影師Weegee, 當然電影中的戲劇化效果，讓我第一時間的只能遲疑，更待來的是進一步研究藝術家的歷史事實。

其實蠻早就有看過Weegee的照片了，只是深刻中總沒能有機會真正的去認識這位藝術家。Weegee是亞瑟菲立格 Arthur Fellig 的化名，1899年出生，69歲死於1968年。他是一位美國的攝影記者也是一位藝術家，作品以黑白記實寒竣的照片著名。Weegee起初以自由投稿的方式，將照片賣給新聞媒體維生，逐漸地建立起自己特有的攝影風格。在紐約他跟隨著警察局、消防隊、或任何救難團體，去紀錄所有正在發生的警急或犯罪事件；死亡的、車禍的、謀殺的任何一幕，Weegee都以真實的方式刻劃都會生活的黑暗面。除了賣照片給新聞媒體，他發表攝影專輯書刊，也投入了一些電影工作，一開始拍了一些自己的攝影短片，之後電影公司與導演如 Jack Donohue and Stanley Kubrick合作製作電影。

Weegee他大部份的照片都是使用他那個時代常見的新聞攝影器具，如4x5中型Speed Graphic相機，攝影底片，配合光圈f/16快門1/200s的設定，特定場合配合閃光燈的使用。他本身不是經過專業學校或背景的訓練，主要是自學的攝影功夫，他自己還說：“他不須要那些紐約的攝影、攝影藝術的專業知識...而去拍照。“ not to have had any knowledge of the New York art photography scene，即使如此，在1943年他的好幾幀作品被收錄到紐約當代美術館MoMA展覽；不只還有大學教授Edward Steichen（New Yoork school for Social Research），也把他的作品當作社會學研討的講座內容。

 “時尚人士“ - 發表在1943年十二月的LIFE雜誌，當期的雜誌內容是 “批判的人 The Critic“報導主題。照片似乎訴說著，華燈初上，晚上約七、八點，穿著精緻皮草的上城貴婦要走進大都會歌劇院欣賞歌劇，那這就是心目中的紐約嗎？
